A’ List Or Has Been’s!!! – As Princess Unveils A Celebrity Star Line-Up For UK Cruises!

So it has just been announced that Sapphire Princess will have celebrity speakers lined up for it’s spring and summer cruises from the UK. This will mark the third year that Princess has hosted a UK speaker programme.

Tony Roberts, vice president Princess Cruises UK & Europe, said ‘With Sapphire Princess returning to the UK for a second season it gives us great pleasure to offer our guests the chance to hear from such a well-known group of speakers, who will further add to the wide range of entertainment and activities we will already have on-board.’

Below is the line up and dates you can expect to see these celebrities from across the world of entertainment, politics and sport:

Linda Gray (actress, Sue Ellen in Dallas and Mrs Robinson in The Graduate theatre production in the West End). Linda will be on both a 14-night Baltic Heritage cruise departing August 31st, and a 24-night Canada & New England cruise departing September 14th.

Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards (former British Olympic skier, portrayed in biographical film ‘Eddie The Eagle’) .Eddie will be on both the 14-night Mediterranean Explorer cruise departing July 27th, and a 7-night Norwegian Fjords cruise departing August 10th

Gok Wan (British fashion consultant, author and TV presenter on ‘How To Look Good Naked’ and ‘Gok’s Fashion Fix’). Gok will be on a 7-night Norwegian Fjords cruise departing July 6th and as part of his stay, he will host a ‘red carpet’ fashion event on-board

Des O’Connor CBE (British singer, comedian and TV presenter on ‘The Des O’Connor Show’ and ‘Countdown’). Des will be on a 14-night Mediterranean Adventurer departing August 17th.

Paul Burrell RVM (butler to Diana, Princess of Wales). Paul will be on a 7-night Spain and France cruise departing May 25th, and a 14-night Baltic Heritage cruise departing June 1st.

Ann Widdecombe (former Conservative Party politician, Big Brother, Strictly Come Dancing). Anne will be on a 7-night Norwegian Fjords cruise departing May 18th.

Duncan James (British singer, TV presenter and actor, formerly in boy band ‘Blue’ and playing Ryan Knight in ‘Hollyoaks’). Duncan will be on a 14-night Mediterranean Explorer cruise departing July 27th.

Samantha Bond (actress, Miss Moneypenny in James Bond and Lady Rosamund Painswick in Downton Abbey). Samantha will be on a 7-night Scandinavia cruise departing June 29th.

Fatima Whitbread (former British Olympic javelin thrower and world record holder). Fatima will be on a 24-night Canada & New England cruise departing September 14th.

Tessa Sanderson CBE (former British Olympic gold medallist javelin thrower and heptathlete). Tessa will be on a 7-night Scandinavia cruise departing April 27th.

David Walsh (sports journalist, four-time Irish Sportswriter of the Year and three-time UK Sportswriter of the Year). David will be on an 11-night Canary Island cruise departing April 16th.

Allan Dennis Rich (songwriter, former Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe nominee). Allan will be on a 14-night Baltic Heritage cruise departing May 4th.

Although I have heard of the majority of the above celebrities, there is no-one there that floats my boat (excuse the pun!) or I wish to see or listen too. To me they’re have been’s! With the majority of them that have already been on reality programmes such as Dancing on Ice, I’m a Celebrity get me out of here and even Come Dine with Me and looking for another pay day!
