Start of a new Journey

Today I find myself writing my very first blog post having just started working for Cruise.co.uk having not written anything but a shopping list since I left school nearly 25 years ago, I have been really struggling with what to actually write….. its now occurred to me that this is a little bit like taking your first cruise holiday. Being excited for the journey ahead of you mixed with slight apprehension of new experiences.

If you have never Cruised before you can be worried about dress codes, dining times and sitting with strangers at dinner. I had these same feelings when arriving at Cruise.co.uk head office in Redditch last week but after 10 minutes felt completely at ease with my new colleagues and have come back to Liverpool with a new set of friends.

Every cruiser has been a newcomer once and felt that fear of the unknown walking onboard for the first time and finding your way around the ship. I can still remember walking around and saying WOW as i entered every room onboard Splendour of the Seas all those years ago. You soon find after a couple of hours your into the swing of things and wonder why you have never done this before.

Cruising is very sociable and you find whilst sitting around a dinner table you encounter people you would never have met at any other time in your life. So as I start this new chapter in my career, I am excited to meet and get to know the team at Cruise.co.uk but also my future customers and hopefully that is you!

Once back from your first cruise you start looking for your next one and start eagerly planning, that is what my next plan is too. My future blogs will have recent cruise news, ship visit diaries, and a little bit about me and what I have been up to each month.
