Cruise Matchmaking

I sometimes meet people and on hearing of my job they say “Oh I tried a cruise once….. hated it” and it really gets to me as you can imagine! With gentle probing as to why they didn’t enjoy the cruise 9 times out of 10 its because they cruised on a ship that wasn’t right for them. Its a bit like finding the style of shoe you find most comfortable some people are best suited to heels and other flats….

Cruising is a wonderful way to see the world and for some people its about the ports of call where as for others its all about the ship and they do not care where they sail to.

Large Cruise ships have so much to do onboard, full size Theatres,Casinos Spas, Gyms, Cinemas,  some even offer Ice Skating , Dodgem Cars and Cirque du Soleil Theatres. You can do a whole 7 night itinerary and never see the same person twice as there is so much entertainment offered onboard. You can dine when you want where you want with speciality restaurants on offer as well as the standard main dining rooms and buffet dining. Shopping is also a must an activity on large ships with many of them now having concessions onboard for big brands.

Smaller cruise ships may not be all singing all dancing with amenities onboard but you will normally experience a more personal service onboard where the bar tender or waiter will know your name on the second day and soon know how you like your drink or steak. You are more likely to dine with the same guests at dinner and make friends more easily bumping into them around the pool or in the show lounge.  The itineraries offered can be very different as smaller ports can accommodate smaller ships and duration in port can often be longer with not as many passengers to embark and disembark.

I see it as my job that none of my customers come back from there first cruise and say Never Again and hopefully when speaking to me for the first time I am able to match the right ship to you.
