I like to get feedback from my clients upon their return from holiday – good or bad! I felt the need to publish this as I feel it’s worth sharing the good times!

P&O Cruises and particularly the Azura have had some bad press relating to standards, particularly of cuisine in recent times so I felt this was worth a read.

A good client of mine, known as Mr ‘A’ who is 71 years young, a very experienced cruiser and extremely well travelled individual said, not only was this the best cruise he had been on but the best holiday he had ever been on. It was a pleasure to hear him say this about his recent trip on the Azura Caribbean Transatlantic Voyage……

“My wife and I sailed out on our 9th cruise this November.   It was on the AZURA, P and O’s 3 year old 115,000 tonne “baby”; with 19 decks and a giant digital SeaScreen on the open Deck 15.  That reminded me of the Drive-In cinemas we used to visit 40 years ago; the only difference was we stretched out on the sunbeds to watch movies instead of in our cars!

Our favourite restaurant was VENEZIA,  where there was an abundant variety of fruits, salads, yoghurts and vegetarian hot food.

The Planet Bar on Deck 18 was unique, in that it  had 6  huge screens,  3 of 6 showing movies about travel with the images stretched out in one panoramic format split into the 3 screens to give a Cinerama-like effect.

Our Balcony Cabin on Deck 11 was portside aft, very spacious, quiet and near the lifts.
We had yester-years’ superstar David Essex live in theTheatre at no extra surcharge.  David looks great and sings very well even now;  I last saw him live on stage 35 years ago!

Overall a great cruise, very well organised by P & O.  Connectivity to our return flight to Birmingham was a doddle with all immigration and check-in formalities completed on Azura,  7 hours before the flight.  Over 20 immigration officers from Barbados cleared 3,150  passengers in no time.   At the airport we just had to clear security and proceed straight to the departure gate of the flight.

My sincere thanks to Victoria Travel/Cruise.co.uk,  whose service and attention to detail during the initial booking and after, was exemplary.”
