New year, New Cruise Ships

We are well into 2019 now and the cruising business is booming like always.

2019 is set for a huge 23 new ships this year. So what can we expect.

Well the major cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line, Carnival, MSC, Celebrity and some of the smaller specialist companies such as Viking and the River cruise lines all set to release new ships this year.

Carnival is set to launch its third Vista class ship in December named Panorama, now for me this is fantastic, There simply cannot be enough Havana Cabanas out there, this is a must, an exclusive tranquility of private pool and sundeck and terrace cabana cabins. I have stayed in these on both Vista and Horizon:

Nowegian Cruise Lines Encore is set to break the mold with the first karting track at sea, a water park, laser tag and a virtual reality theater. This debuts in November from Miami.

Royal Caribbean Cruise lines is launching Spectrum of the seas, The first Quantum Ultra class coming Spring 2019 sailing from Shanghai.

MSC of course has two, MSC Grandiosa and MSC Bellissima. Both in the  Meraviglia class launching Bellissima in Europe in March and Grandiosa in November which will feature shows from Cirque De Soleil.

Then there is Celebrity Flora, a new expedition ship set for all suite accommodation for the Galapagos islands. Due to launch in May.

Another of my favourites, Princess Cruises Sky Princess, set for Royal Class will launch in October with just a few European cruises before heading to the Caribbean.

Costa Cruises is set to launch Costa Venezia, yet another set for the Chinese market – becoming so popular. This is set for March.

Viking continuing with its success in Ocean cruising is launching the Viking Jupiter with its sixth ship coming just next month in February.

So its set to be another busy year for the cruising industry as cruise lines try to compete with the best firsts at sea with new innovative ideas. The good thing is that there is literally now something for everyone. Is there anyone out there who hasnt tried cruising yet??
