Royal Caribbean and P&O are doing it again!!

In 2008 they both launched the Independence of the seas and the Ventura at around the same time sparking a great debate about which of these two immense ships is really the better. I remember a lot of competition with P&O claiming the Ventura to be the largest ship ever built for the UK and Royal Caribbean International threatening with the Independence of the Seas to be the largest cruise ship in the entire world.

Let’s see what they say about the New P&O Britannia vs the New Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas.

Both sailing from Southampton in spring 2014.

The Anthem of the Seas will offer a hurray of innovation with revolutionary facilities never found before. She will have a sky-diving and surfing simulators, a dodgem car arena, plus North Star, an observation pod. On this ship virtual balconies can also be found in inside staterooms, featuring a full wall with real balcony views whichever the weather.

P&O Britannia reinforcing their heritage with a brand new look, displaying at 94 metre Union flag on her bow, she will be easily noticeable reinforcing her presence at any port. I haven’t heard of any revolutionary facilities, but she will have more bars and restaurant any of the other P&O ships have on board and with her modern classic design she will radiate sophistication, elegance and glamour where every inch of her interior have been carefully designed, her rooms will be a real talking point.

So, who will win this battle P&O with the new Britannia or Royal Caribbean with the new Anthem of the seas?  Let’s wait and see what the customers think!
