When Itineraries change

When we look for our cruise holiday’s many people look at the itinerary’s as we never want to go to the same places we might also want certain cruise lines or cruise ships. This might take us a while to look through all the cruise lines and dates just to find that perfect holiday.

So after you’ve spent hours maybe days/weeks to find that perfect cruise it’s so annoying when months down the line cruise lines change the itinerary. This doesn’t happen often but when it does its a nightmare not only for customer’s who are upset about this but for us consultants as we have to ring the customer up and give them the bad news and try and find something else for you that does what you wanted and booked.

But for the cruise lines, they really don’t take this decision lightly, cruise lines bring out the itineraries and dates out earlier and earlier now.  I mean we have dates that you can book right up to 2021. So what makes them change these once you’ve booked?

This is down to many things the port could be undergoing construction work, the port might tell cruise lines that there now not allowing the big ships to enter their ports there’s much reason why the cruise lines have to change your itinerary and I know that no fault of your’s the customer but it really doesn’t happen too often.

I totally understand why customers are disappointed when they do change cause I would be,  I’ve got my cruise booked for November and we’ve only picked this cruise for 5 nights for its ports of call so if I received an email or a phone call saying it had changed I wouldn’t be very happy at all.

Have you been one of the unlucky people that this has happened too? Let me know if it has and what your thoughts are about this?
