Rhapsody of the Seas Part 2

Today we arrived in Corfu this was somewhere that we did fancy getting off so we booked just the transfers and go on your own, we booked this on the ship and cost us about $15 each but Lillie-Rose went free as she was only 3. We got up about 9 am (well I thought it was 9 am) but we didn’t realise until we got upstairs that it was 10 am as our phones hadn’t changed time due to us not having any internet.

so then it was a mad rush for breakfast and get off the ship. we’d just got dropped off in the centre and it started raining again we really weren’t having any luck with the weather.

We found kids park so Lillie-Rose could go on the slides and swings and have a bit of a runaround, then we looked at a few shops but with the rain really coming down now we decided to go back on the ship. I was starting to think if this weather would ever change.

As we’d been on the ship for most of the day we decided to use the Edelweiss restaurant I really wanted to show Anthony what it was like, our waiter was really lovely and Anthony really enjoyed it. after we’d eaten we decided to see what was on, the show that night wasn’t something we wanted to see so we just went to a bar for a few drinks, the only thing I would say on this there’s really nothing for Lillie-Rose to watch or do and all she wanted to do is dance,  but I always felt that she might be getting in peoples way.

This is when I thought more about the independence of the seas as their shows were amazing and I knew she would really love them but the shows on Rhapsody weren’t anything as good as the Independence, so we decided to have an early night.

Our next stop were we got off was Mykonos and finally, the weather was lovely and hot a bit windy but we finally had sun, we got off ourselves here as we’d not booked anything and I’m so glad that we did. This port was a tender port so we got on a little boat to shore and went off on our own exploring. Mykonos is a beautiful place and we will defiantly return. We had a lovely walk around and stopped off for some food and a drink before heading back onto the ship.

Most of the time on the ship we used the buffet restaurant as this was easier with Lillie-Rose and they did the same food as they do in Edelweiss it’s just not brought to you,  which we didn’t mind.  All in all, we had a fantastic cruise and I’ve now converted Anthony and Lillie-Rose into cruising, we’ll be definitely go cruising again which we’ve already started looking at for our honeymoon in November. The cruise we have in mind is the Quantum of the seas going from Singapore for 5 Nights it calls at some lovely places and it will be lovely to see what she’s like as she’s a really big ship.
