What can I do on a day at sea ?

I was talking to a customer a few days ago who had never cruised before and the lady was concerned about being bored on the days at sea.

I explained to her about the endless facilities and entertainment programmes and she was feeling a lot happier about trying her first cruise. In fact there is more to do during a sea day on a cruise than on an average holiday so it’s more a case of trying to fit it all in.

It got me thinking about what people like to do on a day at sea .

Personally I like nothing more than to relax with a good book and I may venture into the swimming pool or Jacuzzi but that’s about as energetic as it is for me. I only really move when it’s time to eat so I really am very lazy on holiday.

My husband however likes more activities so he enjoys the fact that he can go off to the gym or maybe join in the sports on offer.

There are so many different style ships on the market that it is best to research which would be best suited before you make a booking.

For me it doesn’t really matter although I do tend to prefer the larger ships because I like more variety for entertainment and dining. If like my husband you are looking for more activities it is definitely  better to book on a larger more modern ship.

We went on the Independence of the Seas and he had an amazing time.

He wasn’t as good at ice skating as he thought and went with a bump which I found hilarious.
