The Big Freeze

Well this has been a very cold start to the new year with temperatures dropping to -4 in the Midlands and a lot colder in the North of England and Scotland.

Although it can be fun it’s also very disruptive and has yet again caused havoc in the UK with services coming to a standstill.

With so many flights being delayed and even cancelled i really do sympathise with people who have had their holidays affected by this . After all holidays take a lot of planning and for some it takes lots of saving so after looking forward to something so much it really is devastating if it doesn’t happen.

For most people who have booked through ABTA/ATOL travel companies at least they know their holiday is financially protected so even if their flights are cancelled or delayed the holiday company would be responsible and you would not be out of pocket.
This bad weather can have an impact on cruise holidays because if a flight is delayed the ship will not wait so for people who have booked their own flights this could be very costly to them.

I am sure you will agree that it is sometime worth paying a little more to have this financial protection and complete peace of mind when booking you holiday.

I do actually enjoy the snow and love going out sledging with my family which we did plenty of at the weekend. My husband even helped build a snowman and he doesn’t really like the snow !!
