Birthday magic

It was my youngest daughter’s 6th birthday party at the weekend and she asked for a magic show and disco party that her sister had when she turned 6.

She has been so excited and we have been counting down for months now.

We invited 38 children but as the invites went out before they broke up from school I was worried that people would forget and not turn up.

It turned out fine in the end though as we had 30 in total.

The 1st hour was all magic show and it must have been good because I have never seen 30 children sit still for so long. Georgia loved it as she was up on stage involved in most of the tricks.

They then stopped for food and afterwards they had a mini disco.

The entertainer was excellent, he did gangnam style and cha cha slide aswell as lots of other dancing.

When I booked the party I thought it was a lot of money to pay for a children’s party but he earned every penny and there is no way I could have kept 30 kids entertained for 2 hours on my own.

It is her actual birthday on Wednesday so she is still very excited and looking forward to opening her presents. I have had to tell her they are at Grandma’s because she keeps searching the house for them. I’m actually very pleased to be working to have a break from it all.

She is having a karaoke machine for her birthday so I guess the peace and quiet will not last long !!
