Hazelnut Whirl or Turkish Delight?

Everyone has a favourite chocolate.

I like the nutty ones but I also consider it an unwritten rule that you must eat a chocolate orange whilst wrapping presents

It’s that time of year again when the big (although not nearly as big as they used to be) tubs of sweets are stacked high in supermarkets.  Once the lid is lifted, which one will you pounce on and which will be left sadly neglected? It’s amazing how different our tastes can be. To some, for example, a strawberry cream is a delight, whilst to others it is the sickly confectionery that shouldn’t be allowed in their Christmas selection tin.

This started me thinking about cruise lines and how diverse they are, but how there’s one to suit everyone.

Now, how many of us have taken our first bite of a new flavour and decided that that is our favourite and the only one we will ever eat? Probably very few of us. I am still on the search for the perfect truffle but am enjoying sampling different taste experiences along the way.

This is how I view cruising. I have been lucky enough to have tried different lines and ships. What’s my favourite? Honestly, I don’t know. A cruise to me is about the opulent surroundings, fine dining and exciting itineraries. Above all, however,  is more than that as it is about the people I have travelled with and the ones I have met on my travels , the countries I have visited, the films I have watched under the stars, the dance classes, watching my son win the talent show etc…

If you are planning your trip of a lifetime, research all you can. Look on our website, join the forums but keep an open mind.

You may be happy to always eat the same chocolates or maybe you like to sample new flavours.

How do you know if you are choosing the right cruise? You don’t, you need to try it. Like chocolates, there will be one out there for you.

Of course I can always help you choose.
