Are there dungeons on board??

I’ve been asked many weird and wonderful questions over the many years I have sold cruises but this one was a new one today. It started with the usual I don’t want to be below the water line in the dungeons and then turned on a more serious note to the above.

Actually, the answer is I don’t know. There may well be dungeons on board. Who knows what is behind all the “staff only” doors on the ships. There must be somewhere to lock away all those guests who insist that “black tie” translates as ” grubby football shirt and shorts” and “adult only pool” translates as “leave your annoying children to dive bomb here whilst you go to the bar” and the old favourite “please do not reserve sunbeds” which is interpreted as ” please place as many towels down as you can on all the sunbeds around the pool whilst going to breakfast and nipping off the ship for a spot of shopping”.

Don’t forget, we only get to see half of a ship at most. The opulent passenger areas are a small part really of these floating towns.

I’m still not convinced about the dungeons but I’ve met a couple of Dragons on them over the years!!!
