Iona training and Azura ship visit

On the 17th May I was lucky enough to be invited to the Carnival UK head office to take part in some P&O training and specific training on their new ship Iona. I left early on the Friday to get there for around 1pm and hit traffic bad once I arrived into Southampton, but luckily, I got stuck in traffic right at the docks so I could see all the ships which had come in! Such a beautiful sight.

We did get bad news that the Britannia was delayed back into Southampton due to bad weather conditions, so our ship visit had been moved to the Azura, lucky she was in Southampton at the same time!

Once we arrived into the Carnival head office, we got straight into some system training which was great! Followed by Iona training and a fun quiz! I came joint second place so not too bad!

We learnt so many new things about Iona and what great deals she has on them! I am going to be booking myself on one of her sailings!

Later that evening we went out for dinner and drinks in Southampton which was nice! Not a late night because we all had to be up bright and early for our ship visit!

The next morning, we all met for breakfast and drop down to the Mayflower Terminal to embark on the Azura! It was a great experience being taken on the ship and shown around. I haven’t been on a P&O ship before, so this was good knowledge for me to gain!

Unfortunately, we couldn’t see as much as we would have been able to on Britannia as the ship didn’t have enough notice for us to have a sit-down lunch and rooms for us to see but nevertheless it was a great visit! And the ship is looking brilliant.
