Millie’s Cruise Magic onboard Disney Cruise Magic!

Last Sunday started very early for me for a drive down to Dover as I was given the opportunity to go on on board Disney Magic ship for the day. There is only 2 reasons I would set an alarm for 4.45am on a Sunday morning – a holiday or a ship visit!! This early morning was well worth it, let me show you why…

Obviously with the Disney ships these are going to be massive attraction to children (and Disney Lovers) and making their dreams come true, from the moment you step on board you can feel the magic, as you enter the atrium Disney staff announce your surname over the microphone and welcome you to the ship – I guess some people could find this bit embarrassing but I think children might find this exciting they know their name and make them feel special.

Carrying on with the children I want to show you the Children’s Clubs they were just amazing!

It’s a Small World Nursery is open for babies from 6 months old and is available from $4.50 per half hour for the first child or $4.00 per half hour for any additional children in your family. Split into 3 areas for your children to enjoy, an acclimation zone, designed to help youngsters adjust to their new environment, a main play area featuring a 3D façade of the “small world” attraction, filled with hidden interactive delights and a separate quiet room for naps

The Oceaners Club is open for children aged 3 to 12 and this is split into 4 different areas – Mickeys Clubhouse, Andys Room, Pixiehallow and Avengers plus a little cinema area. Look at the pictures below doesn’t this look amazing, I would of loved to experience something like this as a child. They operate open house policy aswell as set times for the children to play, the open house is where parents can drop in and out with their children so if the children are not sure they don’ t have to stay in there one on their own or for a whole session.

Vibe is open for 13 to 17 year olds this is a really cool space on the top deck and is open until 2am they can come and go as they please, they have a bar (searching soft drinks only!), films showing, silent discos and Karaoke in the evenings.

My next highlight was the restaurants – on board the Magic they have 3 main restaurants that are all included and one specialty. The 3 restaurants that are available for your main evening meal, you rotate these throughout the duration of your cruise and the great thing is your waiter rotates too so you can build your relationship with them like other cruise lines and they get to know you and what you like.

  • Rapunzel’s Royal Table – characters sing and dance and put on a show, there is opportunities for meet and greets and the food is themed if you order the spaghetti it is served plaited like her hair!!
  • Lumiere’s – Relive the magic of Beauty and the Beast at this restaurant named after the scheming candelabra from the hit movie. Serving a mixture of American and French Quisine (this is where I ate onboard and it was amazing)
  • Animators Palate – Enjoy an innovative dinner show celebrating the art of storytelling where Disney characters come to life before your eyes. Now I wont ruin what happens but this is really a special restaurant and it will be something you have never experienced before.

Obviously there are so many amazing areas of the ship including the Theatre, Spa, Pools, Slides, Disney Princess dress up room, gym, staterooms – too much to tell you in one blog so please email me, call me or message me on Facebook if you would like to discuss Disney even further!

I am going to put all of the pictures I took on the day on my Facebook too so head over there to have a good look through.
