Tips For Cruising The Fjords.

My customers have just come back on the Crown Princess and she was giving me some good tips on travelling to the Fjords.
1…They didn’t like it as much as the Grand Princess. They did say the Grand was more chic and sophisticated.
2…Make sure you take some warm and WET gear – when it rains its damp and gets quite cold – not nice.
3…Do some research and book Excursions early – unlike Mediterranean destinations a lot of ports don’t offer much to do if you just want to get off and do your own thing. The North Cape excursion was so popular it was FULLY BOOKED and my passengers couldn’t get on it so they poodled around town getting very wet and not getting to see very much.
4…Budget – 2 cups of tea and bun £15 (Expensive)!! In Norway Fill up on breaky before you go ( Stash a couple of croissants for your handbag ).
They also told me a nice little story.
On a previous cruise about 7 years ago they had met a really nice Norwegian couple and they always kept in touch with them by Facebook. They had mentioned to them that they were docking in Norway on the 6th July. They were having a walk about the Cathedral taking in all the views and drying off, when they heard a loud Norwegian man holler their names…!!! They turned around and hollered Jurgen…!!!! It was Jurgan and his wife Inga the couple they had met on the cruise 7 years ago. They popped in a taxi, drove to their house and spent a beautiful afternoon warming up and reminiscing about their rather hotter cruise they had been on together.
Its amazing how people can keep in touch even though they can live so far away from each other.
If you have any stories to tell would be good to hear them !!!!!
