Miracles Do Happen Continued !!!

On Monday morning Shelly and Tracey from Harvey’s Army messaged me to say they would do a FaceBook page for Rocky and to meet that evening at 7.30pm at Boggart Hole Clough. They were organising a barbeque to see if we could coax him out if he was hiding in the park somewhere.

Monday night we all arrived at 7.30pm, Boggart Hole Clough. I had brought sausages, pilchards, tripe all sorts of food. I suggested showing Tracey and Shelly where I had lost Rocky.

We walked up to the area when I had lost him, I had brought his favourite squeaky toy as they advised me to do. Within in a couple of minutes, I squeezed his toy and we heard a bark and howling, my heart was in my mouth I just could not believe what we were hearing for the life of us, we could just not locate Rocky as it was so dark and dense.

We all ran around for a while but realised we could not get to him or pinpoint where Rocky was, so Tracey and Shelley put a call out for help on Rocky Facebook page.

Within minutes of the call for help went out, there were so many that just turned up in the park, but also so many people helping in the background that could not make it but put out feelers for help.

The help arrived at about 9 pm at night, with 6 other helpers, Jenna and her husband Jon arrived and they went straight into action. Jon went down at the bottom of the ravine searching for Rocky but no joy, he went from one end to the other and still no joy, I was still using the squeaky toy but Rocky was not responding.

We walked at the other end of the ravine to find the blanket I had put down earlier but because it was so dark we could not find it for looking. Jon said he would have a quick look down but before you knew it Jon had literally rolled downhill into the ravine and by sheer fluke, Jon landed right on top of the tree trunk where Rocky was stuck, don’t who got the biggest shock Jonathan or Rocky.

Rocky was scared and growling, he was stuck right under the tree trunk, John coaxed him with some treats as he was digging a hole to try and get him out, we needed shovels asap, but John persevered and before you knew it Rocky was free.

I have to say it was a very emotional moment, we all were crying with joy and happiness, wow my heart so missed a lot of beats I cannot explain.

My poor little fella had been stuck there for 4 days, no food no water but he actually looked really well. He looked better than most of us that had slid down into the ravine full of mud haha.

I took him straight to the vets on Tuesday morning and he is doing really well.

I just have to say a Massive Thank You to Tracy, Shelley, Michelle Birch, Ann Geraghty Joanna Singleton, and her hubby Paul, Jenna Dolittle and Jon.

Thomas for all the posters he did for me, Emma, Mike Alice for helping me search for Rocky. Geoff Smith from Drone Sar who took the time to come to the park with his drone also Jan, Michelle, Lisa and all of you that were there on hand to help, it was amazing how many people turned up in pitch darkness at such a late hour in the pouring rain. Everyone you all did amazing, I cannot thank you enough, I am overwhelmed with all the help each one of you has given me at a time I felt helpless, massive hugs from the bottom of my heart, all our love Michelle and Rocky xxx
