A Guide to Shore Excursions – Jamaica

This week, I’ve decided to base my blog on shore excursions and  I’m starting with Jamaica. I love Jamaica!! I was fortunate to visit this beautiful island and really got the chance to explore. My first experience was Dunn’s River Falls and  what an amazing day it was!! You are assisted by trained guides who help you climb and cross the falls. Be sure to take a waterproof camera as there is plenty of opportunity for pictures. The are facilities available such as lockers and changing rooms and you can even hire climbing shoes so there is no excuse!!

Next on the agenda was Rose Hall Great House.

This was the famous home of Jamaica’s white witch Annie Palmer

Take a tour around this Grand House and learn about the fascinating story of Annie Palmer and her reputation of extreme cruelty which gave her the nickname of the White Witch of Rose Hall. After the tour you can make a stop at the Shoppes at Rose Hall where you can purchase  gifts such as watches, crystal, Jamaican rum.

For a fun day out with a party atmosphere, try the freestyle Catamaran cruise. I loved this excursion!! You set sail with a calm relaxing atmosphere giving you plenty of time to take in your surroundings. You then have the opportunity to snorkel as the catamaran moors at Crystal Reef.  Once you return the party starts! The guides on board get everyone on board , learning the latest dance moves while listening to the reggae beat.

There is so many choices of excursions for Jamaica, take a look at a few below.
