When is a good time to plan Christmas?

If like me you are a true Christmas fan you will know that planning for this special day each year takes a lot of time for everything to come together.
It is a very difficult time for me as I live in Spain and due to work commitments it is hard for me to see all of my family to celebrate. Trying to plan flights and time to see everyone can sometimes, well most of the time be very stressful as we try and see so many of our family and friends we sometimes forget to relax and enjoy the festive season.
So each year is just normally myself, husband, daughter, 2 dogs and 2 guinea pigs at home on the Sunny Costa Del Sol.  It is very weird on Christmas day to be taking the dogs for a walk down by the beach when back home in the UK everyone snuggles up in new Christmas onesies or new Christmas jumpers sat around the lovely log fires.
I have often wondered about being away from home at Christmas and new year.  Just sailing of into the sunset on a Caribbean cruise or sail around the canary islands.  Let the cruise lines look after me for once.  Sit back and enjoy Christmas activities, games and watch all the amazing shows that cruise lines put together for us all and enjoy the food and drinks.
But then is that Christmas? spending time away from family and friends at this fantastic time of the year with thousands of strangers you dont know?
I would love to hear your Christmas plans.
Do you stay at home? or do you sail away from all the madness?
This year I will be at home in Spain, but if you would like a be away for Christmas & New year please contact me and I can help find you the perfect Christmas getaway.

Till next time
