California Dreaming on a winters days ……

So the last 2 weeks have flown by.

I have been on my annual USA trip to visit my best friend in California.  We flew to Los Angeles and drove to San Diego  for a few nights.  Whilst there we spent a day at Seaworld and also visit the funky main town area called Gaslamp.

We then drove to  Los Angeles and stayed in a hotel on Sunset Boulevard for 3 nights.  We walked the length of the walk of fame, visited several shopping centres and my highlight was getting 3 free tickets to the Late Late Show with James Corden, the show we were on went out on air Wednesday 5th December 2018 and the guests were Jude Law and Steve Coogan.  If you look closely you can see me in the audience but if you blink, you miss me.  My daughter thoroughly enjoyed this and was happy to win one of 3 t shirts given as prizes for being the loudest audience members, of course I gave a little bit of help to win.

Upon leaving Los Angeles we set about our 6 hour drive to Roseville Sacramento, what should have been a 6 hour drive turned into 12 hours as the main highway I5 had been closed due to SNOW…Yes SNOW..on the freeway, and this caused a severe accident,  closing the freeway all day so we were re routed via the beautiful PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) driving through Malibu, Santa Barbara and Pismo beach.  This was such a lovely way to see the California coast but it was not what we had planned so  we did not appreciate this as much as we should.

We spent the next week with my best friend of 22 years, we always get together to chat and reminisce the good old days as youngsters, what we got up to when were were 18 years old is another story lol. My husband went to test drive some fast cars so he was happy and we stayed at home and dressed the huge Christmas tree. We all went out for lovely meals, did lots of shopping and generally had a fabulous week all round. I am now planning next years Va-cay.

22 years as best friends, we have not changed a bit (apart from a few highlights of hair)

I am now back in the office ready to help all of my amazing customers  arrange fabulous cruise holidays for 2019 or 2020
