Looking forward to Independence..

Hi again , with a major lack of sunshine this year and nothing booked yet for myself. I have been lucky enough to be offered a place on a 2 night cruise in May to see Royal Caribbeans new refurbishment of the Independence of the Seas.  I am so excited as anyone that knows me , knows that I love different Cruise Lines but Royal does always give me the WOW factor !

Independence was voted the best ship sailing from Southampton and after her new refit I doubt people will be disappointed. I will personally look forward to the new restaurant Izumi the Teppenyaki Grill restaurant and fresh Sushi cuisine. I have read that there will be an improved Ice rink and updates to the Alhambra Theater.

While I may not be brave enough to shoe-horn myself in to a swimming costume (unless my diet works amazingly!) , I am excited to see the new updates to the ships existing water park.  Splash away bay will have water slides, water cannons, pools, fountains and the drench bucket.

Some of the exciting activities will be an Escape Room , the Trampoline Zone and Laser Tag Arena.

I am looking forward to seeing the new staterooms too , the Panoramic Staterooms will have wall to wall floor to ceiling ocean views, you can watch the sunset over the coastline all from the privacy of your own stateroom.

I look forward to being able to report back about the ship and I will no doubt take lots of pictures to hopefully give others the WOW factor . 🙂
