Such a sad week for Travel and also for me personally a name very close to my heart.
Having only ever worked for an airline for years within travel, that is all I knew. Unfortunately, I had damaged my eardrum flying with a bad cold and had to take time away from flying and assess what to do next. It was a choice of staying on sick leave or getting another job and personally I need to work!
Recently I had spoken to a guest of mine that had returned from her cruise, everything was great she said telling me all about the entertainment, the excursions, the fantastic staff, her beautiful cabin, then she finished her great feedback with … the food, I just couldn’t find anything to eat!!!
Princess Cruises has revealed the biggest European season for 2021 with three ships based in the UK.
It will be an exciting year for Princess with 3 beautiful ships offering new itineraries sailing from Southampton. Grand Princess, Island Princess and Crown Princess will be based in the UK for 2021, summer 2020 we have Island Princess, Crown Princess and Royal Princess.
I have recently returned from a week away in Ibiza. I went to visit my 18-year old son who is working out there as a barber, its just me and him at home and we are very close and as soon as he suggested he may work there, my bags were packed in my mind and flights ready to click confirm!!
Last week proved a sad end to Cuba cruises for US Citizens. On June the 4th 2019, the Trump administration announced new travel restrictions, that ends the authorization for group people to people educational travel to Cuba which is currently how Cruise Lines are legally able to allow US citizens to enter Cuba.
Virgin Voyages have announced their new first cruise ship will make a stop in the UK next year on her way to the Caribbean.
Virgins new cruise ship ‘Scarlet lady’ is currently being built in Genoa. She is set to sail in 2020 for her first season in the Caribbean from the port of Miami. And lucky us will get to experience a possible glance when she stops at a UK port (or ports), in 2020! I read it may be Dover and Liverpool, I would love to see her as she really looks like she has the WOW factor.
What a start to my day today with the news that Royal Caribbean announcing Independence of the Seas will not be based in Southampton for 2020.
A few months ago having the Independence and Anthem of the Seas for 2020 alongside each other was an exciting time, but sadly Royal has changed the schedule for Independence of the Seas and she will be based from Fort Lauderdale offering Caribbean Sailings and stopping at the cruise lines newly relaunched private Island, Perfect Day at Coco Cay.
Hi there, I was surprised to read that TUI has just announced they will be launching themselves into the River Cruise Market.
They will have three ships in Summer 2020. The brand will be known under TUI and their Ocean cruises will still be known as Marella. The River Cruises will be adult only and like the Marella Cruises, they will include tips.
