How long is too long ?……

So I have been reading this week about the Worlds Longest Cruise. The best thing about cruising, is that there really is something for everyone. Size of ships, styles of ships, price ranges from budget conscious to high end luxury. There is always a cruise that fits peoples preferences.

So back to Worlds Longest Cruise , it will last 245 days and depart from Greenwich in August 2019. It will last eight months, taking cruisers to 59 countries in every continent apart from Antarctica. The ship belongs to Viking , the Viking Sun.

Carrying 930 passengers, The Viking Sun will call at 113 ports and the journey will be completed in May 2020.

Well, fancy it ?…… There are a few different cabin grades on the ship , and some of which have already sold! The cheapest grade of cabin , the lead in veranda stateroom starts at £66,000 per person , other suites range from £80,000-£100,000 per person.

The top luxury choice on the ship is the Owners Suite , with your very own living room , dining area , a library and of course your own ocean view sauna , this little beauty will set you back  around £194,000 per person and believe it or not its already booked !!

Personally 245 days would be too long for me, I like to try different ships for different parts of the world.. Oh and maybe the other reason is I am no where near that £66,000 price tag ! 🙂
What is your ideal Cruise Duration , could you go around the World in 245 days ? ….
