It’s my 5th Wedding Anniversary next week, apparently this is symbolised with Wood!

I remember my wedding day clearly, to be honest it wasn’t exactly romantic but it was certainly memorable, we had travelled to New York and we had planned to get hitched while we were there, we made an appointment at City Hall in Brooklyn, the whole ceremony was over in a few minutes and cost $25 for the wedding license with a couple of New Yorkans grabbed off the street to be our witnesses

Most packages include the options to use of the on board wedding chapel, a candlelit ceremony officiated by the captain, use of a wedding coordinator, live music,  floral arrangements, a bouquet for the bride, groom’s button, the services of a photographer and a selection of prints, a wedding cake and champagne and keepsakes such as champagne flutes, and a keepsake wedding certificate.

Weddings performed on shore can include a ceremony at a beach, garden or even at a glacier in Alaska

Princess offer that not only can your ceremony be conducted at sea by the captain, but features state-of-the-art technology that allows you to broadcast the ceremony live, via Webcam, to friends and family on land.

Celebrity Cruises Couples who book the “Nautical Nuptials at Sea” package get some romantic extras, such as chocolate-covered strawberries, bottles of Champagne, Champagne flutes, his-and-hers robes, fresh in-room floral arrangements and rose petals on their beds on their wedding nights
Norwegian Cruise Lines Couples can add a conch shell aisle ($250 and up) or fresh rose arch ($700 and up) to shoreside ceremonies. They can also purchase invitations, save-the-date invites, customized message boards, wedding program fans and extras.

Royal Caribbean offer a range of shoreside ceremonies –  in a beach in San Juan Puerto Rico or a winery in Santorini to exotic locations such as atop a glacier in Alaska or even on the Flowrider!

If you tie the knot with Cunard You could even upgrade to a Champagne and caviar breakfast in bed, if you choose to get married on board a Crystal ship you can entertain your Wedding Party with a classy themed reception  including a sleek and modern black-and-white option, a tea party-inspired option, a beach option and a traditional white wedding option.
