One of the things I love and hate is the anticipation, excitement, and sheer terror of meeting my dining companions for the 1st time at the beginning of a cruise

The anticipation that I may make friends for life, the excitement that I might meet a new husband, the sheer terror that I might not have a thing to say for the next 14 nights of my cruise

Maybe you have the same dread, it usually disappears after a couple of glasses of wine but just in case you have the same fear of awkward silences here are a selection of useless facts to amaze and entertain your captive dining audience and get the conversation started
