Our Canada and Alaska Adventure

As you are reading this, the big has been and gone without a hitch and so I am now Mrs Kerry Phillips-Hill. We had a lovely day on the 26th May surrounded by our friends and family. We had a church wedding and then our wedding reception was held in a building within the Chichester Cathedral grounds which meant we could have majority of our photos taken there.

We finally settled on a honeymoon, as some of you will know I was considering doing the Rocky Mountaineer with our Celebrity Cruises Alaska cruise but after some consideration (and checking the finances) we decided on the following trip which we are currently on:

Depart Heathrow on the 31st May with Air Canada and fly to Toronto where we will have 3 nights, we have pre-booked to do a trip to Niagara Falls which includes the maid of the mist tour and to see the falls illuminated at night.

From Toronto, we fly to Calgary where we had 2 nights in Banff and took the Banff Gondola and had pre-booked a day tour to the Icefields Parkway. We had then 2 nights in Calgary and just enjoyed exploring the city at our own pace.

From Calgary we had 3 nights in Vancouver where we had booked a day trip to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain, then on the following day, we had booked a trip over to Victoria and the Buchart Gardens. I have been to both of these before but Nick hadn’t so thought if he doesn’t come to Vancouver again then he needs to do these two day trips.

Yesterday we boarded the Celebrity Infinity for our 7 nights Vancouver round trip cruise to Alaska. Our itinerary is as follows:

Thanks to the generosity of our wedding guests we have booked to do in Juneau the Mendenhall Glacier, Whale Watching & Wildlife Quest tour, and in Ketchikan Misty Fjord Flight-seeing tour.  We have also booked to dine in Qsine and Tuscan Grille whilst on board.

After the cruise, we will disembark and take the overnight back to Heathrow.
