P&O monopoly present – what would you do with yours?

It often amazes me at how some people can be so ungrateful with presents that they have been given by other people, and how vocal some people can be about it on social media – such as on Facebook forums and telling everyone their disgust in what they have received, or even be brazen enough to put the present on well known selling sites to profit from the gift.

So let me ask – if you were given from P&O, free (bearing in mind you don’t get much from the cruise lines nowadays) a limited edition P&O cruises monopoly set free of charge which is sold in the shop for £50 but its been given as free – would you be a) grateful – will take it home, might keep it in the box as could a collectors item one day,  b)be grateful – take it home and play with it, c) leave it behind as no room or don’t want it or d) take it home and then put it on ebay to sell it? e) moan about how disgusted you are with the free gift all over social media?

Me personally being a cruise geek would opt for either option A or B, when I worked at Thomas Cook to mark their anniversary in 2005 we were all given the game as a gift and I still have mine to this day in the wrapping unopened.

But what has surprised me is the few ungrateful people who received the P&O game free as a Christmas gift and then moaning that they expected one each (husband and wife – surely you can only play one at a time?), someone even approached the Captain and told them how disgusted they were with the free gift ! And others have put on ebay and selling them for £30-£95 !.

So if anyone has a monopoly set they don’t know what, I know a very good home (mine !) so please feel free to send it to me

Hope you all have a good 2016 and keep to any resolutions that you set yourself

Kerry

xx
