British Cruise Ship Entertainer still missing

Some really sad news has been in the press over the Festive period, Arron Hough a 20 year old from the UK didnt report for duty on Harmony of the Seas one of Royal Caribbean’s superliners on Christmas day.

After a review of the ship’s closed-circuit camera footage, he was observed entering an area on Deck 5 at around 4am and was not seen again. Arron is said to have fallen off the ship 267 miles northwest of Aguadilla in Puerto Rico. Local authorities were notified and a ship-wide search for the crew member was conducted however has now been called off.

Arron joined the ship in July as an entertainer as part of the cast for the musical Grease, he was a new graduate of the Urdang Academy, a dance and musical theatre college in London.

In the days leading up to his disappearance, Mr Hough can be seen tweeting about life on the ship – and even shared footage of his production of Grease.

And in his penultimate tweet posted a cryptic message which read: ‘Beneath the water is beauty. Always look beneath the surface before you decide on things.’

Our thoughts and prayers are with Arron’s family at this very sad time.

There have been a number of reports over the last year regarding both crew and passengers going overboard, only last month Royal Caribbean’s ship Adventure of the seas reported crew member Jack Daniel Ackroyd also from the UK missing.

The most memorable story was the British lady who was a passenger on NCL’s Star who went overboard in Croatia and survived 10 hours in the water and sustained no serious injuries and said that was due to the fact she was very fit as did yoga or a regular basis. Also think she was incredibly lucky to day the least!
