Shared Christmas

Well I guess I knew this time would come  round eventually I was just hoping it wouldn’t be so soon (foolishly).

Both of the boys are now STEADY in relationships which is nice I suppose BUT  we now  have the debate ” Where do we spend Christmas Day?

This discussion took place this week my eldest son’s girlfriend has her own place so the poor lad is debating which one of us is going to be  upset the most !,  “Why not spend  a bit of time here in the morning and my  girlfriends in the afternoon he said”?

” But then again What ever I do is going to upset one of you” he said  which i suppose is  true.

“Also he said if i’m here with the rest of the family, HE wont  leave my presents  at Sarah’s  will he”? ! oh what a sense of humour we have.

“All this travelling around i’m going to be  shattered” he said “Oh well you’ve got 2 whole weeks to get over it”  I said,  He is a landscape gardener so a nice long break till January.

Then the other discussion is Gran Mother who does she go to this year? We love her but then everyone loves her, “let her choose herself where she goes to” I say

I know it is a problem with couples & families  everywhere and a battle in almost every household, but its a battle must be done, its so important to keep the family your number 1 priority at Christmas & for most of us it is  the only time we ever get to see other family members.
