X Factors back……did your last cruise have it?

Here we go again, it seems like it’s never been away but yes, The X Factor is back on our screens until Christmas.  The twelfth series of The X Factor will see the return of Simon Cowell and a new skinny Cheryl with new judges Rita Ora and radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw……..will this increase its ratings???  Who cares!   My children will now force me to watch it every weekend.

Of all the ships I’ve been on , two stand out as having the X factor for me and they couldn’t be more different. The first is the Ruby Princess. A night of romance can be created wherever you look, from a Piazza singer’s sweet serenade, to a relaxing couples massage from a cabana in The Sanctuary®. Movies Under the Stars® is also a cosy venue, where you can cuddle up under a warm blanket and watch a romantic comedy amongst the evening stars. To enhance its elegance, Ruby Princess sails to some of the world’s most breath-taking destinations, including the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. Known for being a romantic getaway ship but I took my family on her last year for a week’s holiday and the service was some of the best I have ever known. I do have a soft spot for Princess Cruises as my first ever cruise was on the Sea Princess in 2002 and only in July this year I went on Caribbean Princess to the Norwegian Fjords……..another great cruise with the family! Second would have to be The Silver Spirit. Silver Spirit is a super-luxury cruise ship operated by Silversea Cruises. The sixth and largest ship of the Silversea fleet, she entered service in 2009. Silver Spirit is fitted with 270 ocean-view suites, providing the largest suites of the fleet. She also features six different restaurants, a spa measuring 8,300 square feet and the Stars Supper Club with live music, dancing and night-club style entertainment.My wife and I cruised the Italian coast on her a few years ago for an anniversary treat. So different from many other cruises we have ever been on, we were spoilt rotten from morning till night , no we didn’t and wouldn’t take the children on here but it really needs to be experienced to be believed with Silversea!
