Ready for the Euro’s ?

As a huge football fan , my favourite part of the year has arrived, Euro 2016. The 2016 UEFA European Championships, commonly referred to as Euro 2016, will be the 15th edition of the UEFA European Championship, the quadrennial international men’s football championship of Europe organized by UEFA. It is scheduled to be held in France from 10 June to 10 July 2016.  

As many of you know i’m a proud welshman and couldn’t be more excited, as after months of anticipation and excitement, this weekend Wales will run out in their first major tournament in almost 60 years. It’s the moment fans have been waiting for!  There’s no doubt who my son’s are supporting!

All the major cruiselines try to show these games in one of the various venues onboard as they know how great the interest is in a tournament like this.  If footballs not your thing i’m sure they’ll have Wimbledon. Last year I watched the mens final on the ‘Movies under the stars’ big screen during the day. 

Now back to the tournament, what are Wales odds?  I’ve just checked and they are currently at about 80/1 with the so called ‘Big’ teams 3/1 France; 7/2 Germany; 11/2 Spain; 9/1 England; 10/1 Belgium, 16/1 Portugal, Italy.

I’ll be putting a small bet on Wales as many of the pundits think they could be the dark horses of the tournament and who would argue with that especially when we’re lucky enough to have the worlds most expensive player in our ranks……Gareth Bale…………a talent England can only dream of! 

I’m sure with me being the only welshman in the company the banter will soon increase as we get close to the big game next Thursday, Wales v England. What a game that is, I think the whole of the UK will be watching that one.

So whoever wins that game good luck to them, hopefully we can both get out of the group and progress. For me it’ll be France or Spain who will lift the trophy.  I just hope the whole tournament is a great spectacle and passes without any security issues as I think its the least France deserve.
