Sometimes it’s the little things that make all the difference, don’t you think?

You will probably be on information overload by now when it comes to Anthem of the Seas. What that ship doesn’t have is nobody’s business. Revolutionary dining options along with revolutionary dining venues, not to mention the Bionic Bar manned by robots. It has bumper cars, a North Star, a skydiving simulator, Jamie Oliver and the world first entertainment zone that is Two70, not to mention a certain random giraffe!  Royal Caribbean’s favourite word WoW! almost seems too bland a verb to use when expressing the excitement and pleasure that you get from the features on this ship. There really  is something for everyone and enough to keep all generations of any family happy for a fourteen night cruise.

Now, having been on so many ships (I have been on over 30 myself) you can imagine that us agents are quite hard to impress. We’ve been there, seen it, done it and expect more and more from each ship we visit. Personally I loved Two70. It is a wonderful space that has so much to offer, day and night but it would seem that our M.D. is much more easily pleased. You will never guess what his favourite feature was on board! I have it on good authority that his favourite feature on this groundbreaking ship was the Coca Cola freestyle machine in Windjammer Marketplace!

You get the free Coca Cola cup when you purchase any non-alcoholic drinks package, and when you consider that for kids it’s only $4.50 per day that has to be great value.

You can have bartenders fill the cup up and there are automated machines near the pool, but the best way to use your Coca-Cola souvenir cup is with the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines! Located on select ships in Royal Caribbean’s fleet, you can use these amazing machines exclusively with the souvenir cups and choose from over 100 flavor combinations! In order to use the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines guests must purchase an all-inclusive beverage package or the Royal refreshment package and use their complimentary Coca-Cola souvenir cup. The Coca-Cola souvenir cup has a special chip in it which activates the machine. You can only refill the cup once every 15 minutes
As mentioned earlier, the Coca-Cola souvenir cup has a special chip that prevents people without the cup from using the self-service refill stations. The machines do “lock down” your cup for about 15 minutes after you refill your cup to ensure the cup isn’t shared with people that do not have the drink package.

The souvenir cup can be refilled nearly everywhere on board the ship. Bars, self-service stations, restaurants and lounges will all gladly refill the cups for you.

You can buy the drinks packages once you board the ship but this will involve queuing up so the best thing to do is buy it online before your cruise and your Coca Cola cup will be waiting for you in your stateroom on embarkation day so you (or the kids) will be good to go straight away. What could be simpler? For me the difficult part would be choosing which one of over 100 flavours to choose!
