Finally they have listened to you the passengers and to us travel agents! and unveiled a drinks package in line with most other cruise lines.
However…..
Its only a trial at the moment, dipping their toes in the water so to speak, to see if the infrastructure on their ships can manage with the demand this will no doubt bring.
The news has been met with mixed reviews.. So here’s the full details, let me know what you think:
With all good news however, comes some restrictions:
Each adult assigned to the same cabin must purchase the drinks package and sharing is forbidden!
Drinks package is strictly non-refundable
Alcoholic drinks are limited to 15 beverages per 24hr period from 6am to 6pm.
Only one drink at a time may be ordered with a minimum of 15min wait between orders?! I don’t get this? as if you are restricted to 15 drinks per 24hr period, why restrict it to one drink at a time? Isn’t it up to the passenger when they consume their quota?
And… does this mean that if I ask my hubs to get me a drink, he can, without fear of retribution, say ‘Get It Yourself’??
You must be over 18 (21 in USA waters)
All bottles & cans will be served open. – So no stockpiling in the cabin!
P&O are also offering a non-alcoholic soft drinks package & a Hot drinks package.
What’s your thoughts on this new announcement? Good Value ?
