Our first family holiday

I am very excited that later this week we are going on our first family holiday.  This time last year myself and my husband were away on our last holiday as a couple with me heavily pregnant before the birth of our daughter.  This year there will be the three of us.  We are off to the same place again as we are lucky enough to have family members that own a holiday home.  We are off to Poole in Dorset on Wednesday and I can’t wait.  It will be Poppy’s first time to experience the beach and I am hoping she will like the sand.  We aren’t normally that lucky with weather on our UK holidays but I am hoping with this heatwave setting in we will get some decent weather.  We are off for 12 nights this year and have a lot planned that we want to do with Poppy.  Normally as a couple we didn’t use all the facilities on offer around the park and local area but this time we want to experience as much as we can for Poppy.  I am hoping for several beach days and we want to take her to Farmer Palmers which is a farm not far from the park.  There is also a park not far from the Caravan park with a little land train that goes around the park so we will try this as well.  I am a little worried we will actually fit everything into our car to drive down there as the car is normally full for the 2 of us.  This time we have a car seat and lots of extras but I am sure we will manage.

I have pretty much everything ready to go now and we are looking forward to spending some time together on our first family holiday.
