Ready to embark on my new journey

Well here it begins.. welcome to my very first blog for cruise.co.uk.   As I sit typing this in my home office I am eagerly anticipating the start of my new career with Cruise.co.uk and looking forward to meeting the Head Office team and the other new recruits at our training week, starting on Monday.  I have arranged many cruise holidays for clients over my 25+ years in the travel industry and have decided that this is now to be my sole focus for my travel career moving forward and I am looking forward to setting sail on this new journey.

As part of my training, I have been continuing to update my product knowledge of the industry and all the new ships that are to be launching soon and 2016 is another huge year with several new fleet additions.  The added extras that they are putting on to the ships now too never ceases to amaze me..  We have already seen the I-fly and the North Star, Dodgems, Rock-climbing Walls, Flow-rider and many other great innovative ideas but definitely the one looking most appealing to me – or should I say my teenage family – is the new water slide the Ultimate Abyss that will be the tallest water slide at sea featuring a 10 storey drop !!.. This is a feature of the new Harmony of the Seas from Royal Caribbean due to launch in May of this year, and sailing 7 night Western Mediterranean itineraries out of Barcelona for the summer.   Never before has cruising been so family friendly and this is making us really consider taking a family cruise holiday this year with something to keep all of the family happy.. watch this space for where we end up.
