Ever locked yourself out your cabin – No need for Cabin key soon…

In a week of big revelations from MSC Cruises they have announced fantastic new technology on board their newest ships, including Meraviglia, Seaside, Bellissima & Seaview, which means that guests will be able to access their cabin with their smart phone or iwatch..

Surely then, it will only be a matter of time, before you will be able to start charging to your cabin from your iwatch “key” too.. this will be wonderful for us ladies to not have to worry about carrying a purse or bag just for our cabin key… It may even be a great excuse for me to get a dressier strap for my apple watch !!..

I must admit that since I purchased my Apple watch in February I absolutely love it, I have many apps on it including fitness tracker and a football app to give me latest scores/news updates on my favourite team… although as a Newcastle supporter there are times that I don’t want to know these !!. As well as having access to e-mails on my wrist, I truly am an Apple girl and have a Phone, I-pad and now the watch to complete the set..

The other news from MSC included the announcement of their First World Cruise Itinerary for January 2019 – a 119 day voyage from Europe to include the Caribbean,& Panama Canal before heading to Australia and returning via the Seychelles, with the intention to have a maximum of 5 days at sea in any one stretch.

And BIG News for SOUTHAMPTON that MSC Magnifica will be sailing a variety of mixed duration Itineraries from here, where it will be based from April until November 2018.
