Encore to my next ship launch..

I just wanted to share with you all some very exciting news that I have received this week.. as Cruise agents we are very fortunate to get many invitations as a company to new ship launch events… and I have just been lucky enough to be allocated a place on the pre-launch celebrations for the Norwegian Cruise Lines newest ship, Encore in October.

The Norwegian Encore is currently under construction at Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg Germany.  Encore will be sailing out of Miami and will most likely be having its main launch events upon its arrival stateside however has scheduled in a 2 nights trade only event at Southampton en-route of which I am very happy to be joining several colleagues to be part of.

I have cruise with NCL on the Star previously from Venice – a much smaller ship – and also attended the launch events for the NCL Epic, which I can’t believe was as long ago as 2010.  The Norwegian Encore is a Breakaway-plus class ship, sister to the Norwegian Escape, Norwegian Joy & Norwegian Bliss, and will have a passenger capacity of just under 4000 people with 2100 crew.

It never fails to amaze me the facilities that Cruise ships now have and I have seen a fantastic you tube video of the race track that is set to go on top of the ship as well as the amazing waterslide.. I am so looking forward to seeing all that this class of ship has to offer.
