My Country Club Experience Part 2 – Oh this is the life!

So …. I hope you enjoyed reading my last Blog – My Country Club Experience – Part 1 …. if not I would highly suggest you go back as what I am about to share with you now really brings to life one of the highlights of any cruise …. The Cabins …….

Now of course, after speaking with many of you, I understand that this is not always an important part of your trip and I do completely get that, I am most probably half way in between, HOWEVER….. With Oceania I find this is important, they brand themselves as immersing you in a home away from home experience, so I would then expect this to flow and ooze out of every aspect of the ships themselves ….. The Nautica did not disappoint ….. Of course, I did have my own opinions of which I will happily share with you ….

Cabin 8053 – Penthouse Suite

Overall Thoughts – I loved this cabin ….Very spacious, having the seating area makes a huge difference and the Balcony is very private, this was also noticed by another agent who was also on board.  I am not sure if I was expecting the bathroom to be a bit plusher though but this could just be down to my own personal taste of course.

Cabin 7015 – Concierge Veranda

Overall thoughts – Love the sofa in here instead of the chairs, this helps make the cabin feel a lot larger as you have dropped down to 216 Sq feet now from 322 as above, more noticeable around the bottom of the bed. Love the flooring on the teak balconies and a fairly decent size.

Cabin 6003 – Vista Suite

Overall thoughts – WOW WOW WOW!!! Now this is what I expect from a lavish bathroom on board an Upper Premium Cruise Line (these have been newly renovated), just look at the size of the veranda, absolutely incredible!  Vista Suites are located at the Bow (front) of the ship and the Owner Suites are located towards the Stern (back) and you can see the shape of them are slightly different also.  These range from over 700 to 1000 sq feet of course the largest being the owner suites. Little extras such as a pillow menu to ensure you have the best nights sleep, welcome canapes and a bottle of something special this really did ooze elegance and pure relaxation to me.

Overall the accommodation on board really did impress, the Nautica of course is one of the older and smaller ships (but remembering every ship is still revamped every 18 months as standard) and she really did leave a memorable mark within my experience of visiting ships for the day.

Next Time …… All about the finest cuisine on board …. Just think 7 courses!!
