My Country Club Experience …. Save the best until last ….

So ……. this week I thought lets save the best until last …. or should I say the best mouthful until last …. I am sharing with you my exquisite Versace dining experience on board Nautica with Oceania Cruise Lines ….. Now if you have not read Parts 1 and 2 of my Country Club Experience …. NOW IS THE TIME! …… As I want to leave you with the same lasting memory of the sumptuous cuisine I was fortunate enough to sample ……

For me, since being Coeliac (Only for nearly 4 years now and I am 32) dining out in fancy restaurants in my hometown or for celebratory occasions can sometimes be a bit of a struggle, don’t get me wrong there are so many places now that can cater and I am sure that these are now becoming more apparent unless it is just me being more aware to them, but it is still never completely easy.  SO …. when coming to holidays this is something that is even more important so I can relax ……

AND …. Dining on board Nautica did not disappoint ….. After entering the Grand Dining Room (The name says it all) I was greeted with a menu on a custom designed Versace plate …. YES you heard this correctly …. EVERY 352 plates that is! I felt like royalty!

Now for my visit, I had actually forgotten to advise in advance of my dietary requirements (something I normally never do) so I was concerned that it may now be too late for anything to be arranged as of course this was a turn around day and the ship was departing full later that day with full fare paying passengers …. No no no how wrong was I ….. EVERYONE IS LOOKED AFTER ….

Of course, sailing on a cruise or even eating in a hotel / restaurant or on board an aircraft, I am putting all my trust into the chefs and waiting staff to ensure the food they provide me is suitable for me to eat.  This is a huge thing of course, for anyone with any dietary requirements and allergies and after my own personal experiences of certain airlines and hotels not giving me much hope …. Oceania Cruises you were incredible! I had to stop eating my first course even though it was amazing because I didn’t want to be too full for the rest and this never normally happens!
