Swimming pools, Sea or Land?

That is the question!

Of course onboard a cruise ship the swimming pools are not huge, they physically cant be as large as a land based pool but the facilities on offer can really make up for this!

With bigger and better ships launching every year the various cruise liners are really pushing the boat out ( excuse the pun!) with the pool areas, number of pools, splash areas, waterslides and so on!

Waterslides really are a major attraction to many families and young at heart customers who are cruising, some of my favourite pools are sea are;

Norwegian Epic – And yes I have been on these waterslides!

Allure of the Seas;  Splash Park, fantastic for younger guests!

Carnival Sun;

Disney Dream;

Looking at land based swimming pools, one of the main attractions can be the sheer size of the pool itself, many resorts advertise lagoon style pools, but do you really need sucha  large pool? Here are a couple of my favourites, including a very quirky pool!

This has to be the largest pool  ever! It is located in San Alfonso Del Mar, Chile? Have you ever been?

And for something a little quirky, How about this RED, yes RED swimming pool located in Koh Samui, Thailand? Looks a little eerie to me?
