I’m back from Egypt!

I reported a while back that I was off for a sunshine week in Egypt and it definitely was that! We stayed in Sharm el Shiekh at the Park Inn resort all inclusive. This was my fourth time in the area, each time at different hotels.

It may spring to mind why have I been 4 times? Well it’s purely for the weather during the winter, averaging 27c to 30c during the day which is perfect, along with the fact that Sharm is a great resort, plenty of great all inclusive properties, amazing snorkelling and diving and great nightlife!

This was a total relaxation holiday s we barely ventured out of the hotel, but we knew this was the kind of holiday we wanted!

Sharm el Shiekh has become popular with the cruise lines, especially with Thomson’s who have the Celebration and the Spirit running itineraries during the winter out of the port you can even tag on a week’s stay in Sharm el Shiekh which is definitely worth it with so much to see and do in the area. Of course there are the main sights of Luxor and Cairo in which you can take an excursion but how about a few more such as quad biking in the desert? Diving in the red sea? For the younger crowd how about the foam party at Pattaya? For families or the young at heart a day at the waterpark? Star gazing in the desert? There is so much going!

All in all we had a fantastic holiday, great food, sunshine and met some great people, I would hugely recommend Sharm el Shiekh as a winter or even a summer destination, and you can guarantee sunshine all year round!
