How would you like your pillow, Sir?

OK, this is a serious question! When you think of requests for your cruise you may just think of the normal asks, such as a vegetation diet, wheelchair assistance, a table for 2 and so on but have you thought about how you would like your pillow?

This request seems to be becoming more and more popular and the menus are vast! Most cruise liners will allow you to request your desired option , sometimes this could be in relation with a medical condition such as needing a hypoallergenic pillow, or a ‘hard’ pillow etc , other times it may just be a preference. Of course your pillow choice can never be guaranteed but you can request whatever you like pretty much!

Many high end suites or 6 star cruise liners will offer guests a pillow menu to choose from.

Here are some of the most popular options and requests;

Hypoallergenic pillows – These pillows are what you can request if you are allergic to feathers , fibres and dust. They will help to reduce the side affects you may recieve such as sneezing, congestion and headaches.

Feather pillows – These are the general pillows you will find onboard and are the most popular.

Memory Foam – This has become more popular, they are great for neck support as they self mold around your head!

Personally I really don’t mind what pillow is on my bed in the cabin, I do not have any medical needs as long as the pillow is comfy that it the main objective for me!
