Ventura Or Navigator of the Seas?

When it comes to choosing a cruise the most difficult customer has to be myself! The difficult decision I’m trying to make is to decide between P & O’s Ventura, or Royal Caribbean’s Navigator. I’m a family of four, with two lively boy’s of 11 and 7. I’m trying to decide if the amenities and activities of the Navigator out weigh the itinerary that the Ventura is doing on the dates I’m looking to go. The Ventura is classed as a large family ship but looking into this more I feel there isn’t enough to do for older children. Okay they offer the kids club for age groups, plus rock ‘n’ roll school and a 3D cinema. Not to mention the choice of 3 swimming pools or the Cirque Ventura’s activities which include juggling, acro balancing, tight-wire walking, stilt walking and clowning. Yes you read the right clowning!

The Navigator again is a large resort ship with lot’s to offer. For children like the Ventura they offer kid’s club’s for all ages but what stood out for my two is the Flowrider, which is surf machine letting you have the chance to try and ride a wave or two. They also liked the look of the climbing wall and there is also a skate rink and outdoor game area too. Amazing. They could hardly believe this was on board a ship.

Even though the Navigator, I feel isn’t visiting very exciting place’s on it’s itinerary they are places I haven’t been and it’s always nice to see different towns and cities. So what does it boil down to, the entertainment on offer on board or itinerary. I think every parent out there will probably agree that if the children are entertained and kept busy it’s a better holiday all round. I think I’ve made my choice.
