The worlds largest cruise ship, Royal Caribbeans Harmony of the Seas which measures 350 metres longer that Big Ben and worth an amazing 1.4 Billion, carrying a mere 5,479 passengers. The third vessel in Royal Caribbean’s Oasis class has a new attraction like no other one in it’s fleet-The Splashaway Bay. Due to set sail in May 2016 Harmony of the Seas is offering a 10 story plunge, trio of waterslides and The Supercell. This is the first of it’s for Royal Caribbean.

The Waterscape aims to appeal to all groups. For toddlers there is a friendly play area with sea creatures, a huge splash bucket (who doesn’t like one of those?) and a Jungle Gym. Probably the most daring is the Ultimate Abyss- not for the faint hearted. This slide spirals down 10 stories and is the tallest slide on any cruise ship you will find. It’s also a quick alternative to the lifts if you need to get to the Central Park!  The Supercell sends passengers swirling through a giant bowl. This will keep children entertained for hours.

They have also included the popular Bionic Bar which if you’re not familiar with this- its a robotic arm that serves you. There is also two Flowriders, Ice skating the unmissable Aqua Theatre, showing high divers and acrobatic water shows. This is of course is all complementary.

If this all sounds too family friendly, for adults  you can relax in the adult only pool in the

solarium and there is the late night shows at the comedy club. One thing to consider if it does sound to family friendly with the ship having the waterslides the children will be mostly in one area or at the childrens club. So I think this ship is for everyone.

The speciality restaurants that come at a small surcharge are definitely worth a visit to experience fine dining.

Harmony of the Seas makes it’s debut next May offering sailings from Barcelona, with 7 night itineraries to Spain, France and Italy.  In November it will return to it’s homeport of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale where she will travel to eastern and western  caribbean.
