People always ask me when is the best time to get a deal, I have been in the Travel Industry now for nearly 18 years, many years ago I can remember you could pick up a good deal a week before you wanted to go, however, it seems now that you are better to book in advance to get what you want. Regarding cruises, they seem to get booked very quickly for various reasons, maybe you are disabled and need an adapted cabin, there are very few cabins on cruise ships that are adapted for the disabled, so I am finding people book earlier and earlier each year.

One thing people forget, if your looking at a fly cruise, so say for instance the cruise ship is leaving from Barcelona, the closer to departure, the more expensive you will find the flights, this is because airlines work differently to Holiday companies.

You may find that you are restricted to dates, school holidays, annual leave at work, other commitments during the year and find yourself having to take your holiday at the most expensive time of the year. If you book in advance you have longer to save if you are having to travel at peak times during the year and can budget and pay monthly.

I have had customers before saying that they will wait and see if the price comes down, very often then not, the price goes up and get very disappointed.
