The Dreaded Six Weeks Holidays…..

6 week holiday blog holiday blog

Are you dreading it???

As a parent, we are all excited to not have to get up for the school run, after school clubs and Scouts etc. But feeling un-inspired with how you are going to occupy your children for six weeks. As this gets nearer and nearer, does anyone have any inspiration to share with others?

Well i hear you say, we hope the weather is good. I don’t think i can cope with being stuck in the house for six weeks, with miserable weather and miserable children.

Most of us working parents have probably got some time off with them, but unless your in the education industry, it possibly two weeks maximum that we can take, so we are all stressing about childcare and various clubs that may be available to us to care for our little cherubs whilst we are working to earn a crust. Although these clubs are very expensive? Day trips out? I feel this time of the year is a huge drain on our bank accounts.

I have got two weeks off with my two boys, i haven’t planned very much as i would like to not have that mundane routine that i have to stick to during term time. I think i will take some advise from Martin Lewis and see what he suggests.

I live in a beautiful part of this country, with fantastic beaches and am very lucky that i live in between the South Devon Coast and the North Devon Coast. Although our favourite is the North Devon Coast. So will almost definitely be packing up the car and heading to the beach with a picnic and the boogie boards

Might have a look on Groupon and check out what savings there are to be had on various attractions around us, cinema deals (If the weather is miserable)

If you have any ideas then i would love to hear them? What are you doing during the six weeks holidays?
