No Kids Allowed – Breaking News

P&O know how to pick their time to announce that they are making another one of their ships Adult Only. As we are still in the busiest time of the year, P&O announce that they are making their ship Aurora an Adult Only Ship after the refit that is taking place in March 2019. They have made the decision to not allow any children on board Aurora. , this is because the Adonia was sold to Royal Caribbean. As you can appreciate this news didn’t go down too well for bookings that had been taken with children. I have spent the past few days trying to sort out and re-arrange a family of nine, that have children. It is very disappointing when you think you have your holiday sorted and planned well in advance to then be told, that we need to re-arrange this. A lot of people book in advance to secure their holidays with children as they have to travel within the school holidays.

My customers could only change to one other alternative cruise, but lucky for them it was available, although the cost was more. P&O were giving customers a 5% discount for this inconvenience to change their cruise, and not charging any admin fees to do so. It was paramount that a gave my attention quickly to these customers, as some of you may well know, P&O will only allow so many children within aged brackets on board each of their cruises. As this news fell on us, i had to act quickly to ensure my customers secured their booking on another sailing. You will be pleased to know, I managed to get this sorted for the customer. Did P&O really need to change the Aurora to an Adult Only Ship? I think that the cruising market has increased massively over the years and more and more families have taken to the idea of cruising and think its a great way to holiday now.
