School Holidays are upon us again!!!

So, as I am writing this, the school holidays are upon us!!! It only seems like five minutes ago, they were off, now I don’t know if you agree but February Half Term, is always a tricky one, as its cold and wet and trying to think of things to keep our little cherubs occupied is a tough job!.

Today, we woke up to a dusting of snow, well my boys did very well in trying to make the best of a bad job! They were determined to make a snowman out of very little snow, Gathering snow from cars and window sills. Well they failed, but was very proud of them in doing their absolute best and determination. They came in freezing cold and wet through, another set of clean clothes and the washing basket is full again already.

As mum’s we all have to work now, its not like the old days, when us women we able to be at home with the children, so how do we do it? My answer is I just don’t know how I do it, working full time and being a mum, its really tough. I had worked this morning, finished at 2pm, went out into the kitchen and it was like a bomb had gone off, I screamed at the kids, as they are 14 & 11 Years Old and really and truthfully they should know better and are old enough to tidy up after themselves. I took some deep breaths and thought roll on Monday 19th February when they go back to school.

It’s my day off tomorrow and I am just not sure what to do, weather depending I suppose! Any ideas? Everything that you try and do costs money, we could do to an indoor trampoline park, but that’s only for an hour, Cinema? But again that’s no more then two hours.

Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing your suggestions.
