Are you Bored???

Well the school holidays are well under way and my kids keep saying they are bored! We live in once of the most beautiful parts of the country, surrounded by lovely scenery and my kids are bored.  Is anyone else’s saying the same thing. My kids as most do these days, have bikes,scooters and game consoles. When I was a child, my parents would tell us to go and make our own fun. Admittedly the weather has been dreadful, with only a few days of sunshine, which is typical for a school holiday.

We have to wait until October before we have our holiday and so money is limited. We are off on the Navigator of The Seas, this will be my children’s first cruise. I am also taking my mum, she has been poorly as some of my customers know, this will also be her first cruise, which is something she has always wanted to do. She has told me that I have made her dreams come true! What a lovely thing to say Mum, I love her dearly.

The children keep saying to me “Mum, such and such are going on holiday and we aren’t, until I remind them they are lucky to be experiencing a cruise, which none of their friends are.

School holidays are too long as most of you would agree, children think money grows on trees and my purse is a bottomless pit. My youngest son, is about to start his next milestone in September by moving to secondary school, so I have new uniform to buy, but most of all, with two boys at secondary school, I am not looking forward to ironing TEN shirts! He is very excited about his new adventure, as we live in a little village about 15 minutes from the school, he will catch a school bus just like his eldest brother. I will update you on his first few days in the middle of September.
