The Big Apple awaits!

This time next week I will be just arriving in New York!

My eldest daughter turned 18 this year and wanted nothing else but a mum and daughter shopping trip to the Big Apple.

I am taking my best friend with me too for moral support and it will be the first time any of us have graced the City.

We have a beautiful Hotel booked on Times Square and restaurants already pre booked for our trip, a bit organised I know.

We will be needing plenty of fuel stops throughout of 4 day adventure from the itinerary my daughter has arranged.

On recommendation from a customer of mine, we have chosen to do the Explorer City Pass. It allows us to choose from 3 to 7 different activities and sightseeing tours for a discounted price. We are choosing to do the Top of the Rockefellers as well as the Statue of Liberty and another one we will confirm once over there.

It is only my second time visiting the States and I am a bit apprehensive about the trip. Some of you maybe already aware , I was caught up earlier this year in the Attack on Manchester. Although I walked away with only minor cuts and bruises from the Foyer that awful night, I have a lot of mental anxieties that will be around for a while as I heal.

Fingers crossed the airport doesn’t prove too much of an ordeal and I can finally look forward to it

If it wasn’t for the fact that it is my daughter’s 18th treat, I don’t think I would feel I was ready to face it but as it goes, I do feel that would there ever be a right time??

We plan also to talk a Horse and Carriage ride though Central park to give our aching feet a break. The weather is looking favourable so hopefully my packing shouldn’t be too much of an ordeal.

Carlos Bakery is also on the agenda along with the usual Macy’s and other shopping delights. Not sure my purse is ready for the strain!!

I shall report back in a couple of weeks and hopefully some positive experiences.
